You will also be able to visit the forms section to register for the PTO, purchase spirit lunch, request a PTO check reimbursement or buy a family brick to place in our school entryway.

✈️ Extended Vacation & Absence Reminders

As winter break and long weekends approach this winter, please remember that all pre-planned absences should be scheduled through Skyward.

How to submit an absence request:

  • Simply click on the "Attendance" icon in your student's profile.

  • Click the green "Add Absence Request" icon on the right-hand side of the page and complete the necessary details.

  • Copy absence requests for other siblings from the same page.

You may also use the Skyward system for illness and doctor appointment absences as well. 

It is also helpful for your student(s) to alert their teachers of planned absences, so that they may assist in making up missed work.

πŸ“š Battle of the Books Begins January 13!

The first Battle of the Books session is almost here! Mark your calendars!

The first session will be on Tuesday, January 13 in the MRC, and every following Tuesday up to Spring Break.

Students/teams can choose to attend a morning or an afternoon session.

  • Morning sessions are 7:50am - 8:15am
  • Afternoon sessions are from 3:25pm - 3:50pm

Team standings and scores will be announced each Wednesday on the morning announcements!

Knockout rounds begin after the first six sessions.

Gifts of the Season!

Reminder to return your gifts this week to support families through HCS Family Services.

Before the break, students selected a yellow gift tag for a specific individual in need this holiday season. The card contained details for a wishlist item.

We are collecting these gift items this week. Students can drop off the gift Tuesday - Friday, with the yellow card attached, in the boxes at grade level entrances, or in the office.

  • Please include your yellow gift tag with your gift so they can be matched with the correct family
  • Remember, gifts must be new and unwrapped
  • Please include a gift receipt when possible
  • The suggested gift amount is up to $50

All gifts are due this Friday, December 5th so they can be organized distributed in time for the holidays.

If your student did not select a gift card, but your family would like to participate in the gift drive, please contact margiejeffords@yahoo.com.

🎁 CHMS Gift Crowd β€” Holiday Giving for Teachers & Staff

Happy Holidays, Eagles Families! It's the season of giving and the CHMS PTO is making gifting easy this holiday season! Show your appreciation and send joy to the CHMS teachers and staff that have made our community thrive this year!

Simply click below and select your student(s)' teacher to send a monetary gift. They will have the opportunity to select desired gift cards with the collective gifted amounts from all students!
