π£ CHMS Cheer Tryouts β Tuesday, Nov. 11
CHMS cheer try-outs are this week!
ποΈ Tuesday, Nov. 11
π 3:15 pm – 4:00 pm (right after school)
π Good news! Sixth graders are now welcome to try out as well! Students will learn a brief cheer and perform for the try-out.
Practices will be held on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3:20 pm - 4:10 pm starting on November 18th. The team will cheer for boys' basketball (three 7th grade games and three 8th grade games).
Go Eagles!
π Boys Basketball Tryouts (7th & 8th Grade)
Tryouts for the 7th and 8th grade boys’ basketball teams are right around the corner!
ποΈ Monday Nov. 17, Tuesday Nov. 18, and Wednesday Nov. 19
π 3:30pm - 5:00pm
π CHMS Gym
β
All interested students must attend at least one day of tryouts to be considered for the team. While attending only one day is the minimum requirement, we strongly recommend and encourage attendance at all three days. Attending all sessions will give the boys the best opportunity to showcase their skills and abilities. Cuts can be made at any time.
β
Skills they will be evaluated on include, but are not limited to, passing, ball handling, shooting - including form, shot accuracy and shot selection - rebounding, defense, attitude, sportsmanship, overall game play and knowledge of the game as well as effort.
Please remember that in order to try out, students must have a completed physical on file with Mary Youngman, the school nurse.
If you have any questions, please reach out to:
- 7th grade coach: Mike Piper (mpiper@d181.org)
- 8th grade coach: Mike Jensen (mjensen@d181.org)
