Clothing Drive-Sponsored by the ECO and Peer Leadership Clubs

Eco Club and Peer Leadership are co-sponsoring a CHMS Clothing Drive (USAgain's Earth Month Challenge) from March 15 - April 15.

Please consider donating gently used clothing and/or shoes of any size to help families in need and keep excessive amounts of textiles out of our landfills. Donation collection boxes will be placed at all grade level entrances starting on March 15

For each full bin of used clothes, USAgain plants a tree!

Best of the Nest! Mrs. Emma Strom

As you may recall, our amazing PTO sponsors our staff appreciation award, the “Best of the Nest” with a premium parking spot for the winner! Staff members nominate each other based on:

  • Who has inspired you?
  • Who is making you a better staff member?
  • Who is making your day more enjoyable?
  • Who is doing great things for kids?
  • Who is consistently in your corner?
  • Who is implementing innovative strategies in the building.

This award continues to demonstrate the inspiring, kind, and giving staff we have here at CHMS. The incredible words that are written toward each other in response to the thoughtful actions taken are inspirational.

This month, Mrs. Emma Strom (6th Grade Social Worker) was our winner!

A few comments shared about her were:

Emma is a fantastic Social Worker! She helps whenever asked, and she has good relationships with her students. I know she will be an equally awesome mom!

Emma, you are AMAZING! We will miss you when you are gone, but I am so excited for you and your husband! You are going to be a fantastic mom!

Emma does everything she can to ensure that every student is taken care of and that their needs are met. Thanks for everything you do, Emma. We will miss you!

Emma is an amazing and kind Social Worker who dedicates her time to her students and their parents. She always has a smile on her face and is willing to help those around her. She is a great colleague and most importantly, a FRIEND! You will be a caring and loving mom.

Congratulations again to Mrs. Strom!
