Newsletter/Website Submission

Please use this form to submit content to the CHMS PTO.  Once approved, the content will be included in the weekly newsletter emailed on Sunday mornings. In addition, the submission will remain on the main page of the PTO website for one week.

Requirements for Submissions:

  • All requests should be submitted using this form.  We reserve the right to edit for space, brevity and clarity.
  • The CHMS PTO will only publicize news and events associated with the CHMS PTO, D181 and other school-affiliated organizations. Events, activities and organizations that are not directly affiliated with the school or District 181 will not be not promoted.
  • Please keep submissions brief. For more detail, please direct readers to your website and include an appropriate link. You may include graphics and logos but these may not be included as space is limited.

To be included in the Sunday email, content is due by 5:00 pm on WEDNESDAY.

If you would like your content to run for more than one week, you must resubmit the post again each week through the same process. Helpful hint: Amending or rephrasing your post will grab readers’ attention better than if you submit exactly the same content each week. Please also try to keep your submissions current and post closer to the pertinent time frame/date since running content more than two weeks in advance may be too soon for readers to take note.

  • Please indicate where your content is originating from.
  • This is the title for the post on the website.
  • Enter the EXACT TEXT you want to display on the website. If your post is about an event or meeting, please include: date, time (start and end) and location.

    Your submission will be reviewed by the Editor and at their discretion, they may edit your content or length.
  • If you have a logo or image you would like to include with your post, attach it here. Please note that we cannot post photos of students on the website. It is also up to the discretion of the Editor whether or not to use the image. Some images don't work in our newsletter format.
  • Whenever possible, include a web link in your post instead of an attachment. Please do not include any personal contact information in your attachments.
